So, you have chosen the right container. The moment of direct preparation for the move has come – the time to collect and pack things.
Watch the weight of the boxes, do not allow them to be overloaded. This is inconvenient when moving them, increases the risk of rupture. Packed boxes should not be heavier than 10-15 kg.
The general principle for packing anything is to put heavier items (such as books) on the bottom of the box and lighter items on top.
For packing light bulky items – clothes, bedding, children’s toys – medium-sized boxes are well suited (in our online store these are “universal boxes”).
Dishes, books, other heavier things and objects should be placed in smaller boxes in order to prevent overloading.
One of our favorite hacks. It is so convenient to transport clothes “on hangers” packed in wardrobe boxes – nothing will be wrinkled or dirty.
Shoes are put in their own boxes or in a common container. In the second case, folding the shoes on top of each other, lay each item with paper or air bubble wrap.
Fragile items, dishes, vases are especially often at risk during moves. Secure them additionally – pack them in several layers of air bubble wrap, fix it with adhesive tape, only then carefully fold it into boxes.
Small houseplants in pots are easy to pack: put them in a box of the right size, filling the gaps between them with wrapping paper, for example. The main thing is to monitor the temperature regime during transportation!
Packed things immediately try to place compactly in the room. Most likely, there will be a lot of boxes, they should not clutter up the space, interfere with you until the day of the move. Do not stack heavy boxes on top of each other – the bottom one may not withstand the load.
